Equifax Data Breach

ID Theft PadlockEquifax announced a cybersecurity breach compromising the identity of up to 143 million Americans. If you are a US citizen who has borrowed money, it is very likely your information may be at risk.

FMBT recommends that all our customers visit https://www.equifaxsecurity2017.com. Click on "Potential Impact" and enter your last name and the last six digits of your Social Security Number. Your Social Security Number is sensitive information, so make sure you are on a secure computer and an encrypted network connection any time you enter it. The site will tell you if you've been affected by this breach.

Whether or not you are impacted, Equifax is offering free identity theft protection and credit file monitoring to all US consumers. Visit the link above and click Enroll to sign up.
