Loan Officer (Ludington Branch)

Job Summary:  To develop business contacts, attracting mortgage customers; completing mortgage loan processing and closing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
• Approve loans within specified limits and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.
• Originate in-house and secondary market loans for qualified applicants
• Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine credit worthiness.
• Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better serve the customers’ needs.
• Collection of delinquent loans
• Project a positive image for the bank through community involvement and protect bank’s image by keeping mortgage loan information confidential.

Certificates and Licenses: 

Registered MLO with NMLS

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma.  Minimum of 3 years residential mortgage lending experience with a focus on generating self-sourced business.
